Looks like the fight is on with Israeli soldiers and civilians amongst the dead already. Question becomes, how long before we get dragged into this?

    Love the guy
“The United States of America cannot be complicit in this mass slaughter of children,” Sanders said Sunday during an interview on CBS’ “Face the Nation.” The administration, he added, “can’t beg Netanyahu. You got to tell him ‘If you want any money, you have to change your policy. Allow the trucks to come in to feed the children.’”

The illusion of aid in Gaza | The Listening Post

    Al Jazeera English

I'll caveat that it's not near enough, but the aid being sent to Gaza is not an illusion. It's real and people are putting themselves in harm's way to try and help. The IDF and Israel and Palestinians need to come to the table and end this, so that Gazans can return home and Israel pull back out of Gaza.

Well, it's an illusion in that the effort is failing, and attempts like our airdrops are insignificant and mostly for show.

Well, I respectfully disagree. Certainly the people who are trying to help don't think it's for show. Well, maybe some do, but most don't think that.
The pilots and the guys in the back of airplane unleashing the pallets are just doing their job. They don't have anything to do with the why of the drops.

Sure. They don't make policy and yeah, they're doing their job. But there are volunteers and people on the ground trying to help as well. Absolutely more can be done, and I've stated that they need to find a way to end the conflict and have the hostages returned and the IDF pull back out of Gaza.

I do think in the interim, I support the idea of setting up a logistics camp to allow a sufficient amount of goods through a secure corridor or something. I don't know how feasible that is tho.

Let's be clear here. When I said it's for show I was only talking about our airdrops. I wasn't talking about the truck drivers who are showing great courage either driving into Gaza or sitting there waiting to be allowed in.

Is it still about the hostages and Oct 7th, or something more?

Netanyahu is definitely a terrible person, aligned with Trump. He is leaning into to the religious right in Israel to stay in power as long as he can so he can stay out of jail. The Israeli people have to get rid of him, unless we think the US should engage in regime change. Which has never gone well for us in the past.

    Indeed. Bibi has to go.

This (the leaflets) is pretty typical war time propaganda messaging. Not too surprising tbh.
That and those pesky war kites

    Indeed. Bibi has to go.
I legitimately have no idea how he keeps coming into power. He has been in power, ousted, back in power, re-ousted etc like half a dozen times since the 90s.
